We have not set a minimum age to play pinochle. Everyone playing will be charged the $10 player fee. Your grandson will be welcomed.

  2. Cathy says:

Is there a minimum age limit to play pinochle? My grandson will be visiting and I’d like him to come with me to play.

Passing along a reply from the Rectory … “At this time there are not any mandates or guidance from the Diocese limiting capacity in the Church. We are not planning on taking reservations for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day Masses.
Traditionally, the Masses with the lowest attendance are the Christmas Day Masses at 9am and 12 Noon. Either of these two Masses would be a good choice if you are concerned with crowding.”

  4. Mary Dressler says:

With covid infections rising in our area I would like to know if there will be reservations required to attend the Christmas masses or a limit of how many can attend each mass to avoid over crowding.

  5. Francis says:

I simply get myself content with the basic things. Liking the endowments God gave me. Thanks for sharing this mass reservation.

  6. Webteam says:

Reservations for Masses were only required during Palm Sunday, Holy Week services, and Easter. You do not need a reservation for the Saturday 4:30 pm Mass at this time. We’re glad that you are considering attending Mass at our parish.

I am not a member of 14 Holy Helpers Church. It is my understanding you must make reservations to attend mass. I don’t see where you do so. I would like to attend mass this afternoon, April 18 at 4:30. How do I do this?

  8. I am not a member of this parish, how ever I know Fr David, he use to be at my parish church at Christ the King church. I belong to St Marys Catholic Church in the Suburbs of Richmond Va. I am in the high risk category for getting Covid19. I asked my doctor will it be ok for me to attend Holy Mass that consist of 50 to 60 people in the church wearing face masks , doing 6 feet of social distancing. My doctor said no. If I ask my doctor again about going to weekend Holy mass and week day Holy Mass, I know my doctor will tell me no. If you really want to receive the holy eurcerist going to holy communion. The only thing I can tell you do not listen to your doctor when he tells you don’t go to holy mass on weekends and on week days. The only thing I can tell you is to just trust in the God, ask Jesus,, Our blessed mother Mary, St Joseph, and all the saints and angels to protect you when going to holy mass, that you will not get the COVID19 Virus. even though there is social distancing during holy mass. All the doctors wants to do is to make you all fearful, keeping you all home, Knowing that you want to be able to go to church recieve the Body and blood of Jesus. I think that some of the doctors have good intentions of trying to keep you safe from this virus that is going a round.. How ever, I think it is the devil that is working through some of the doctors telling them to keep people from attending holy mass and receiving holy communion on weekend and week day holy masses. How ever, there are doctors that will tell their patients to attend holy mass on weekends and week days. Mary, I went through the same thing you did, about asking to get holy communion out side of holy mass. I was told that this can’t be done.. I was told by my priest at St marys, that they are just starting to open up church service of holy mass. they want people in the parish to attend holy mass. I can under stand the situation. Mary it may take longer for things to get back to normal. wait for a while, Then when things have been back to normal, then you can return and attend holy mass at 14 Holy Helpers Catholic Catholic church. May the peace and love of Christ be with you all. Hi fr David, I sent you a very important letter. I need you to answer my letter I send to you through regular postal mail. I gave you my email address. so you can send me an email message, in stead of a postal mail It is very important that you contact me. I really need your advice. Fr Micheal the pastor at my parish church has been very busy. I don’t see him hardly at all, because I can’t attend holy mass do to the virus.epidemic he has been very busy. didn’t answer my email message that I send to him. I am in difficult situation. I need your help. will be waiting for you to get my letter and answer my message to you through email. God bless you Fr David, I pray for you when I pray to God and for your parish. Yours in Christ Fr David. From: Molly Maloney

Bill … we’ve posted the schedule of Masses for this weekend of June 27 – 28 along with the priest scheduled to celebrate each Mass for both the Church and Parish Hall. You can find that schedule on our website Home page. Thank you for the suggestion!

  10. Webteam says:

Mary … we certainly understand your need to receive the Eucharist. We are not able, however, to provide the consecrated Eucharist for pickup outside of the Mass.

We’ve implemented a strong program of health safety measures for the Masses as of June 20. You can see a detail description of those measures on this website … ReOpening Public Mass flyer LINK.

If attending a weekend Mass is not possible at this time, please consider attending one of our daily Masses to receive the Eucharist … 8:00 am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday or 7:00 pm on Wednesday. We still follow health safety procedures at those Masses but our attendance is usually much lower than the weekend Masses. You might feel more comfortable starting back attending Mass in that setting.

  11. mary Connolly says:

Is there any way that those of us who are still afraid to come to mas can receive communion. I missed that beyond what any words can convey. I am willing to drive to the church and pick it up.

  12. Webteam says:

Great idea, Bill! Given that this is the first weekend for the reopening of Masses we are not sure what our schedule will be going forward. Depending on the attendance at Masses we may need to alter that schedule as soon as next week. Fr. David agrees that we will try to get the schedule posted on this website as soon as we determine our schedule.

  13. Bill Kruger says:

Please let us know witch priest is going to be in the Church or the Hall and whet time. Thx
