Fall Fest 2020

We are planning a Fall Festival for this September to celebrate our 156 years as a parish and, with God’s guidance, our ability to work through the very trying conditions that we faced this year. The activities that we are planning will be held in a safe and health conscious manner.

Friday, September 18 … Polish Platter Dinner served 4 – 7 pm or sold out.
….. Our Summerfest is famous in WNY for the top quality Polish Platter dinner that we sell. Sadly the pandemic forced us to cancel Summerfest this year. But we all still have to eat, so we decided that we need to bring this favorite to you anyway.
….. Every dinner includes Polish favorites like:

  • Golumbki (stuffed cabbage roll)
  • Kielbasa (Polish sausage both smoked and fresh)
  • Pierogi (polish ravioli, one each of cheese and sauerkraut)
  • Kapusta (sweet and sour cabbage}
  • Polish Rye Bread with butter

NOW through Sunday, September 20 … Fall Fest Grand Prize Raffle
….. Cash prizes, jewelry, and much more are the prizes that we have available for the lucky winners of our Fall Fest Raffle
….. Ticket books have been mailed to parishioners but anyone can buy tickets. Before Fall Fest you can pick up ticket books at the Rectory Mon – Thurs 9:00 am – 1:00 pm or after some weekend Masses. During Fall fest we will have raffle ticket books for sales in the Parish Hall during the Polish Dinner on Friday, Sept. 18, after the 4:30 pm Mass on Saturday, Sept. 19, and after all Masses on Sunday, Sept. 20. Raffle drawing is planned for later on Sunday afternoon.

….. Theme baskets will be on display in the Parish Hall for your viewing spaced for safety.

To support our local West Seneca community, if you purchase a sheet of theme basket tickets, you can receive a free sheet of theme basket tickets in exchange for a donation of 4 non-perishable food items or household cleaning products to the food pantries serving people in West Seneca. They have asked for items from the following list: pasta, pasta sauce, canned soup – tomato & chicken noodle, cereal, decaf & regular coffee, shampoo, conditioner & deodorant, laundry detergent, dish-washing soap, toilet paper & Kleenex. People right in our area need help. These items will go directly to our established food pantry/family support team which serves local residents. Please be generous … consider donating 5, or 6, or more items. Details will be announced soon. Bring your donated items to the Parish Hall during Fall Fest weekend. We guarantee that you will be a winner … and then maybe you’ll win a basket as well.

Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20 … Homemade Baked Goods Sale
….. Treats, sweets, and breads prepared by the finest home bakers in WNY
….. The baked goods will be displayed in Meeting Room 1 of the Hall at safe distances
….. You will be able to buy your baked goods after the 4:30 pm Mass on Saturday and after all Masses on Sunday morning. Detail schedule at the bottom of this page.

Friday, through Sunday, September 18 – 20 … Returnable Bottle and Can Colection
….. Through the pandemic many of us have accumulated a trove of returnable bottles and cans in our basements and garages
….. A truck will be available in the parish parking lot where you may safely bring any returnable bottles and cans
….. Bring your returnables in a box or bag for easy deposit.

Friday, through Sunday, September 18 – 20 … Food Drive to Benefit West Seneca Food Pantries
….. Collection of non-perishable food and household cleaning items
….. All donations will benefit the West Seneca food pantries who support needy families in our own neighborhoods

We want you to feel comfortable in coming out to this event. Face masks will be required for anyone entering our Parish Hall. The building is air-conditioned for your comfort. Entries to the Hall will be limited for safe social distancing in accord with NYS Health Department directives.
