The nice weather that we recently enjoyed got us thinking about the coming summer season in West Seneca. When you think summer in West Seneca you have to think about our standout event … Summerfest 2022. This year our Summerfest will be the 11th event in the series. Save the dates … Thursday Aug. 4 through Sunday Aug. 7. In the coming weeks leading up to Summerfest 2022 we’ll have much more info for you.
However, we could not wait until August to enjoy summer and Summerfest type events. We’re going to have a pre-celebration event in May because … well we like celebrations at 14 Holy Helpers. On Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22 we’re going to put on a Welcome to Summer Weekend! Plan on some events to celebrate the coming summer season in the style of our popular Summerfest celebration.
We’ll have:
- FOOD … everyone loves summer foods and we have some of the best
- Summerfest BBQ Burger Dinner. Last year we introduced a Summerfest BBQ Burger Dinner and it was a BIG HIT with our patrons. Quarter pound hamburgers in a secret BBQ sauce with sauteed green peppers and onions on a Costanzo roll, baked smoky spiced potato wedges, & corn for $10. Eat in or takeout. - Ice Cream Social. Summer = Ice Cream. We couldn’t wait any longer, so we’re inviting all of our fellow parishioners to come for an ice cream sundae. We’re providing the ice cream and toppings so you can design your own style of sundae. No charge for parishioners.
- Grilled Hot Dog Lunch. Mom always said to eat your lunch before having dessert. Before eating your sundae you can get a lunch of a grilled hot dog and chips.
- THEME BASKETS … some of the fun of summer is winning a prize at a summer event. We’ve prepped 50 prize baskets that will be available for you to win at our Welcome to Summer Weekend. Great prizes and winning a summer prize is SUCH FUN. Win a basket now as practice, so when you come back to our Summerfest Theme Baskets where we’ll have 3 to 4 times the number of baskets available, you’ll be ready to win again.

- Ice Cream Social … after the Noon Mass until 1:30 pm. … Enjoy a sundae where you add your own toppings to design a sundae according to your taste. All parishioners are welcome! No charge for parishioners due to the generosity of a parish family.
- Summerfest Cash Raffle … if you dropped off your tickets for Summerfest 2022 Cash Raffle you’ll get a chance to see if you are the first winner! The First Early Bird drawing for Summerfest Cash Raffle tickets will be held at approximately 1:30 pm.
- Theme Baskets … 8:30 am – 1:30 pm — At the event 1 sheet of tickets will cost $5, 3 sheets for $10. If you purchased pre-sale tickets online then you can pick them up at the desk.

IMPORTANT NOTE … Payments by Check
If you select to make your online purchase by check, realize that your order is not considered to be completed until we physically receive your check payment. All checks should be made out to “14 Holy Helpers” and placed in an envelope for delivery to the Rectory … mark the envelope as “Welcome to Summer Weekend“.
Check submission options:
- Drop in the Rectory Mail Slot. There is a secured mail slot on the wall to the right of the front entrance door to the Rectory. You can drop your envelopes into that slot at any time on a 24 x 7 basis.
- Drop in Rectory Office. During Rectory business hours you may drop you check envelope off for our Rectory staff. Business hours are 8:30 am – 12 Noon and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The staff takes lunch from Noon – 1:00 pm.
- Drop in the Collection Bin. You can drop your check envelope into the offertory collection bins at the front and side entrances to the Church. Realize that these bins are only processed on the weekends after Masses. Making envelope drops in these bins during the week may not get your payments received in time.
- Postal Mail. Mail your check to the Rectory at 1345 Indian Church Rd. West Seneca, NY 14224. Realize that this option may take 3 – 5 days for our receipt. Due to the length of time you may want to consider this as a last option.
