Ripples of love

From the Desk of Father David

Dear Parishioners and Friends in Christ,

I want to offer my gratitude to all who are praying for me.  My retreat is great because of your prayers.  Our wonderful parish is made up of long-time parishioners, others who came from St. Catherine of Siena and St. John the Evangelist when the parishes closed, and others who have moved into the area or have come from other parishes.  I want to give thanks to everyone who gives of themselves to keep our parish strong.  Thank you for all those who worked to keep our school going.  Even though it closed, the faculty, staff and volunteers touched many lives, and those blessings will have a positive effect for many years.  To all those who volunteered at St Catherine and St. John, please remember the good things you did are still blessing others.  St Paul reminds us that the love we share will live on forever.

Just like a pebble thrown into a lake creates ripples, the good we do creates ripples of love in the lives of others.  So, the good we do, no matter how small, with God’s blessings has a rippling effect throughout time.  May we never get discouraged.  May we work together trusting in the Holy Spirit to guide, unite and bless us.

Loving Father help us to live as Your beloved sons and daughters!

In Christ,

Fr. David
