Holy Week is coming
From the Desk of Father David
Dear Friends in Christ,
As the Good Shepherd, Jesus has been guiding us through the pandemic. This week you will be receiving a letter containing Easter Greetings and the schedule for Holy Week and Easter. Isn’t it wonderful that we are going to be able to gather in person for Easter. We will also live stream the services and Masses to reach out to those who cannot come. We are also going to be able to bring back Palm Sunday’s passion with palms and the blessing of Easter Baskets. I am grateful to all of the volunteers who are coming forward to make these celebrations possible.
I cannot thank you enough for your generous financial support of our parish. Some people have gone so far as donating their stimulus check to the parish. Because of you, we are able to pay our bills. Our world has so many people who are emotionally or physically in need and by reaching out to them they see the face of God. May Almighty God bless you a hundred times over for all you do to build His kingdom here on earth.
Next Sunday begins Holy Week, please take time this week to plan on how you are going to celebrate these high holy days. For those of who will have more time with your children or grandchildren, plan how you will celebrate these events in the life of Jesus with them. You have a great influence on your children and grandchildren don’t miss this opportunity to help them grow deeper with Jesus.
May Almighty God quiet our hearts so we can hear His voice. May the Holy Family enfold us in their loving embrace and shower upon our world many blessings.
In Jesus,
Fr. David
