During this period of pandemic isolation a significant number of our parishioners have very limited access to critical resources and parish news. Access and experience with technology is not available. Telephone and postal mail are their main lines of communication. As a parish we are committed to being a source of assistance and comfort to all of our brothers and sisters.
A new parish ministry is being organized. This ministry will reach out to our fellow parishioners by calling them regularly by phone. A brief call to ask about their health, share some news, or make them aware of a helpful new resource can be the highlight of someone else’s day.
A number of parishioners have stepped forward as volunteers. Their spirit of service for others touches our souls. If you too wish to volunteer please call the Rectory at 674-2374 or send an email to email@example.com. Let us know if you are interested in joining this ministry or have more questions. At this time we have not planned any in person meetings. You would be assigned a group of maybe 5 – 10 numbers … you tell us how many that you would be comfortable calling.
Also, if you know of someone who would be interested in receiving calls, contact us as well. We will be going through our parishioner files to try and identify people, but it would be a big help if you know of someone already.
