Fall 2020 Events

From the Desk of Father David

Dear Friends in Christ,

Praying that you are all doing well and that 2021 is a great year for all of us.  It might sound early to be talking about next year, but with the way the weeks and months are flying by, it will be here before you know it.  This moth we will be celebrating 1st Reconciliation and Confirmation.  Please pray for those receiving the Sacraments.   I want to share with you some exciting news about some new endeavors this fall.  There will be a live streamed Healing Service at 7pm on September 14th. I am inviting only people who are healthy to come into the Church to prayer for the sick.  I don’t think it is wise in this atmosphere to gather people who are very sick together.  This will be the first time for me to do this type of service, it does not include anointing or a Mass. The service will be done in the context of Benediction and will include special readings and prayers.  I do the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick by appointment.

You will be receiving a letter from me mid September.  It is going to ask you to come to the aid of your parish with your time, talent and treasure.  It is not only about money; remember that much of our ministry, outreach, and fund raising is accomplished through volunteers.  We are looking at the possibility of expanding the way we minister which means we will need more helping hands.

We have our first Fall Festival which includes a wonderful Polish Dinner, Theme Baskets, and a big Raffle.  Thank you to all who are volunteering, promoting this event or selling or buying tickets. We appreciate your support.

We are having our first Faith Formation Gathering on September 26th.  This will be for all ages.  I am very excited about this new adventure.  Upcoming in October we will have our First Virtual Meat Raffle on October 14th with pickup of winnings on October15th.

We are having a lot of first time events, so watch the bulletin for more details

May Almighty God guide us with His unconditional love, and in return may we respond in love.

Peace and Healing,

Fr. David
