Prayer to the Holy Spirit
From the Desk of Father David
Dear Friends in Christ,
I am so blest to see that last weekend at the Masses approximately 500 people did the consecration to Jesus through Mary at our parish. When you think about all the parishes in our Diocese who were doing the consecration, the number of people doing the consecration must be staggering. This is one of the reasons I feel God’s new day is dawning. A beautiful new day filled with hope and love for everyone. I am asking you this week to take time to prayer to the Holy Spirit as I and my brother priests prepare for a series of meetings with Diocesan officials and well as plan for helping our parishioners to enter more deeply into the Lenten and Easter Seasons. You can use the following prayer, or any prayer even your own words.
Prayer to Holy Spirit
Grant, O merciful Father, that your Divine Spirit may enlighten, inflame and purify us, that He may penetrate us with His heavenly dew and make us fruitful in good works, through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who with You, in the unity of the same Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
I am anticipating the that the journey forward will be rough and I still believe a new day is dawning. What do you believe?
In Jesus,
Fr. David
