Dear Friends in Christ,

Praise God! Jesus is Risen!

Alleluia! Alleluia!

      Today’s great feast asks us to focus the One who was willing to die for us and in His Resurrection we find new life.  So many times this new life is like a crocus pushing itself up through the soil.  This new life appears among daily activities, even among our struggles and concern.  With Jesus’ assistance we can see this new life springing forth in every aspect of our life and especially in the lives of those around us, in our Church and even in the world.  We need to look carefully or we will miss this amazing new life.  This new life brings hope, because it reminds us that God is still on our side and very active in our lives.  I witness this growth so often in the confessional.  There I encounter people who sincerely want to refocus their lives on Christ.  As the penitent pours out his/her heart and asks for God’s forgiveness I experience their love for Jesus and I hear about what He is doing in their life.

       I pray that no matter what your age is, you will experience Easter with childlike faith.  A faith that will help you experience the wonder and awe of the new events God is doing for you and those you love. 

       I also pray that during this Easter Season may the peace of Jesus take root in your heart and at the same time remove any anger and heal hurts.  May this peace, our trust in God, flow out from us and touch all those we meet, especially those who are hurt.

       The Fourteen Holy Helpers staff and I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Easter!
