Do we thirst for God? … 24-Mar-2019
From the Desk of Father David
Dear Friends in Christ,
The optional Gospel for this weekend is when Jesus meets the woman of Samaria (John 4:5-34). It would be good for you to take time this week to pray with this Gospel passage. In this Gospel passage, Jesus helps the woman to realize that her deepest search for unconditional love can only be found in God. Jesus then helps her experience this love by forgiving her past and offering her new life. Do we thirst for God? What are your deepest desires? Are we willing to let go and trust God so He can fill your deepest desires? Remember, God did not fulfill the Samaritan woman’s desires as she expected, He might fill your desires in ways you do not expect. Is there something holding you back from trusting Jesus? Ask God to give you His help so you can let go and move forward in Divine love. I hope you will spend some time with these questions. Please remember to review your day each night or the following morning and give thanks for all that went well. If you recall a sin just ask God for forgiveness and move right back to giving thanks.
May Jesus, Mary, and Joseph bless our families with their special blessings and through their intercession my our hearts overflow with love for God and each other.
In peace,
Fr. David
