Follow the “little way” … 07-Oct-2018
From the Desk of Fr. David
Dear Friends in Christ,
Do you believe that the Church and world can become better? Do you have hope that everything is going to get better? Jesus did. He spent His whole life ushering in the Kingdom of God by encouraging, forgiving, loving, and most importantly, His passion, death and resurrection professes the depth of God’s love for us. This past week we celebrated the feast of St. Therese of the child Jesus, the Guardian Angels, and St. Francis of Assisi. Next week we will celebrate the feast of St. Theresa of Avila. The feast of the Guardian Angels is just another example of how our loving God takes care of us. St. Francis’ life challenges us to build God’s Church. We might ask how. St. Therese tells us to follow the “little way”. The little way is simply to do small things with great love. Look around, see what needs to be done and do it lovingly. St Theresa of Avila spent her life strengthening the Church by her words and actions.
Let us take time to reflect so Christ can help us see those in need around us and may He help us respond with generosity. Saints of God help us to follow your example.
In Christ’s peace,
Fr. David
