Dear Friends in Christ,
Advent is set aside by the Church as a time to grow spiritually. Unfortunately most people are so busy it is hard to accomplish spiritual growth. Our emphasis this October at Fourteen Holy Helpers will be providing you with many experiences to grow closer to Jesus. These events are open to people from other parishes, so bring a friend.
October 10th: Living Rosary at 6:00 ending with mass at 7 p.m. It is called a Living Rosary because one person represents each bead. It is a unique way of praying the Rosary.
October 14 -20th: is Mission Week. Everyone is welcomed to attend. If you already made mission please consider renewing yourself and helping out
October 21st: Confirmation. Please consider coming and supporting our Youth
October 22nd: Night on Forgiveness. Starting at 7 pm sharp with prayer followed by witness talk. 7:20 you will choose to go to one of 6 presentations which contain a Question and Answer period, break at 8:05 then at 8:20 p.m. you will choose a second presentation. The night will end at 9 p.m.
October 27th: Marian Day starting at 10 o’clock ending at 3:00 p.m., lunch will be provided. This day is dedicated to deepening our relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary. Everyone will be invited to stay for the 4:30 p.m. Mass.
November 1st: All Saints Day. In the evening we will remember all those who have passed away this year. Please plan on attending. November 2nd: All Souls Day we remember all those who have died who need our prayers. Do something special to remember them and pray for them.
October will be a spiritually powerful month. Watch the bulletin for more details. I know your schedules are busy, but we need to find the time to grow spiritually to help face the challenges of life and find Christ’s peace.
Together will go forward with God’s blessings and love.
