Dear Friends in Christ,

I am writing this on the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  God is amazing.  From the earliest days of the Church understood that Jesus gave His Mother Mary to be our mother.  What a great gift!  Mary’s motherly love is always guiding us to her Son, Jesus.  Mary teaches us by her example to take time and ponder what God is doing in our life, trust that God is faithful, Jesus is always with us, He is Emmanuel and lastly to say yes to all that God asks of us and no to anything which is not from God.  As I reflect upon my life, I recall the times that Mary powerfully interceded for me, and I trust there are times not so profound that she was gently guiding me.  Pause and reflect upon your life.  Do you see her gentle love surrounding you?  Do you see the Blessed Virgin Mary guiding you to Jesus?

Every mother wants to hear from her child, and this is true of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Take time to talk to Mary each day in your own words, a Hail Mary, or Rosary.  When praying a Rosary you don’t need to pray the entire Rosary at one time.  It is important to enter prayer with heart and mind and experience the mystery of the life of Jesus.

May The Blessed Virgin Mary wrap her cloak around you , draw you close to her side and lead you deeper into the heart of Jesus
