Dear Friends in Christ,

The Sodality of Our Lady are women who are dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. They play a crucial role in our parish. With their help, I was able to bring back May Crowning and the Living Rosary. Many times they quickly responded to doing receptions so that others would feel comfortable at our parish. The Altar and Rosary Society from St. Benedict’s parish still talk about how welcoming the Sodality was and the food was delicious. Their fund raising enabled us to buy the statues for the outdoor manger and annually assist us in paying parish expenses. They take care of our Shrine, are the honor guard at funerals for members, they pray the Rosary for the sick and for deceased members as well as assisting the parish in other ways. Membership is open to all women. Their installation dinner is in May. If you would like more information or to join the Sodality to help continue their mission please contact Nancy at 822-8123.

Few important dates: Next weekend at the 10:30 and 12noon Masses we will have First Communion. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers. May all of us grow deeper in our love for Jesus and appreciate the beautiful gift of the Eucharist where Jesus feeds us with His own Body and Blood. May Crowning will take place on May 7th at 7 p.m. I hope everyone will clear their calendars and come to show their love for the Blessed Virgin Mary and their support for our First Communicants and Lady’s Sodality.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary guide help us to follow her Son, Jesus, with greater love and devotion.
