Dear Friends in Christ,
Thursday March 22nd is the vicariate penance service at Saint Philip the Apostle, 950 Losson Rd. Cheektowaga, NY 14227. There will be about 10 priests available to hear confessions. Priest will start hearing confessions at 3:00 pm, then break for dinner and start again at 7:00 pm. This will be one of the last times to go to confession before Easter. Confession gives us the opportunity to experience God’s forgiveness, the strength to grow and be reconciled with the community. Please remember to pray for all those who are going to confession.
Holy Week begins next weekend and may we make this time holy by spending time in prayer and reaching out to each. other. You should have received an Easter Letter containing the schedule in the mail. If not, please call the rectory at 674-2374. Plan on attending the Holy Week Services as a way of growing closer to Christ. If you cannot make the services plan on doing something to remember the Last Supper, Christ’s passion, death and resurrection. Most importantly let us support each other in prayer.
